#LIVBLOGGERSBALL: chasing your dreams.

At the very last minute (typical me), I attended the Liverpool Bloggers Ball on Sunday. And again, thank God that I managed to get to it! I had a fantastic time chatting to the people I met at the #NWMeet (read about that here), and also managed to meet some new faces as well. I had a lovely afternoon, so thank you Steph for organising such a fab event!

What I really want to discuss in this post, however, is the importance of dreaming big. Throughout the event, we were given a few talks by different companies, but they all had one thing in common: each person had a talent or a passion, and they built on it. Their companies are thriving and, most importantly, they’re making money out of something they love to do.

I’ve always been one of those people that would 100% choose happiness over money. I’d rather pick a job that I actually enjoy than spend the rest of my life dragging my heels to work everyday, being utterly miserable because I have a boring career (although if someone wants to give me a couple of grand, then please feel free). Behind each brand that spoke to us was a unique story, and the drive that they all had was simply amazing. They love what they do, and this really shone through in each speech that was given.

So whilst the event was fun, it was also inspirational and engaging too. I came away from it feeling motivated, and spent the rest of my evening planning bloggy bits and bobs. I’ve linked each of the companies below, and it’d be great if you could check them out and show them a bit of support!

P.S, massive shout out to Roxy Ball Room for having us: I’d never visited the Liverpool or Leeds branches before, but I’ll definitely be making a return trip! Although I think we all learnt that I’m absolutely crap at Pool and Ping Pong…
